1017.18.27 — RESIDENCY DETAILS
The nuts and bolts behind the stay.

The Lay of the Land

The Whirlybird Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we do our best
to keep stays here affordable for artists coming through Southwest Louisiana.

Residency fees support the space, the program, and the work—helping
keep the doors open and the next artist on the way.

Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. If it feels like a fit,
we’ll reach out. Most decisions land within about 30 days. A deposit
holds the space.

International Artists

Artists traveling from outside the United States are responsible for
securing appropriate visas. Requirements vary depending on the work
and length of stay.

We recommend consulting an immigration professional to determine the
best path forward.
