1017.36 — THE GROUNDS
The space around the sound.
Out Back
The Honkytonk may be the heart, but the grounds are the lungs.
Porches. Fire pits. Garden beds. Chickens wandering where they please. A bandstand that doesn’t mind rain. A place to sit with a guitar, notebook, or nothing at all.
Kids climb trees. Dogs nap. Someone starts a tune and half the yard sings by accident.
Out here, you can feel time stretch and fold. You can hear traffic from the highway and frogs from the pond and voices you thought you’d lost.
The Bird isn’t just a building; it’s a patch of earth that collects stories and lets them breathe.
