WBRD 1008AM Radio for the Restless Spirit

It’s a signal, y’all.  And I’m Nicky Butler.

Check your dial, ‘cause…

WBRD 1008AM only comes on when somebody’s listenin’ —

in a kitchen late, on a back porch early,

in a truck between here and wherever you’re headed next.

Stories drift through.  Music wanders in.

Sometimes the truth shows up sideways and stays for supper.

No schedules worth obeyin’.

No experts in charge.

No archive pretendin’ to be finished.

Just people talkin’ and music playin’,

’cause silence don’t always do the job.

Pop Squally (from the kitchen):

“If it don’t sizzle a little, it ain’t ready.”
